Three Tips to Successfully Promote Your Event

When it comes to spreading the word about your upcoming conferences, workshops, webinars, and other events, sending the message to many people is key. Let people know about your events using these helpful tips.

  1. Email Newsletters: Put your event in your own email newsletter. Send the details to partner organizations which might share the event with their newsletter and social media subscribers. When putting the event details in an email, make sure that you type the text into the email, rather than pasting a picture of the flyer or postcard. People who use screen-reading software cannot access text in images, and you’ll want to make sure the details of your event are readable by everyone.
  2. Social Media: Create a Facebook and/or LinkedIn event with all the details. Creating a Facebook and LinkedIn event can be a great way for others to share the info with people in their social networks, among many other important reasons. If additional steps are needed to sign up for and/or attend the event, be very clear about this within the Facebook or LinkedIn event, so that people know that simply selecting “Going” isn’t enough to guarantee them a spot.
  3. Digital Ads: Paying to share the news about your event via social media or Google advertising will ensure the information is noticed by as many people as possible. The budget doesn’t have to be big; even $50 can go a long way toward obtaining a wider reach. If you are considering giving ads a try, check out these other tips for success.
